May 31st will be the DNC meeting to discuss Florida/Michigan. Since Obama is visiting both states this month, apparently trying to butter them up for a blow, we can assume the DNC will likely prohibit their delegates from counting, or else curtail the number drastically. The objective of the DNC and the Obama campaign is to keep close to that 2026 threshold so they can declare Obama the presumptive nominee ASAP.

It's a psychological ploy but it can be a real dealbreaker for Clinton. She needs to wedge her foot in the door to prevent it from closing. That's why I would like to see her take a stand and deliver a press release on live TV after the decision. Unless there are new primaries or the votes count the process is not legitimate. and she'll refuse to step into the convention hall in Denver. This would do the trick because the media has turned to Hillary Clinton again and again for statements legitimizing Obama's candidacy, his chances of winning in the fall, the DNC rules, the validity of the press coverage, etc. Much as they hate her, they still look to her for authority.

And ever since her brilliant line about how Obama's foreign policy consisted of one speech in 2002, she has been backpeddling on the truth in order to appease Dem Party leaders. This is where I think she dug herself into a hole. These people have been out to destroy her from Day One and never deserved any of the courtesy she has given them. Eleanor Roosevelt understood this kind of situation and never let it deter her from sticking by her principles.

Now history is repeating itself, and Clinton has the opportunity to deploy her own tea bag strategy.

By the time all the delegates pile into the hall in Denver, it will be abundantly clear who the real leader of the Dem. Party is.

Sort of expected Edwards to side with another male as they do tend to stick together. But to do it intentionally to step on Hillary's big victory over BO in WV is uncalled for nastiness.

As for NARAL, they are sure to get plenty of letters telling them no more contributions.

All these knives thrown into Hillary and the media piling on tonight. I can only hope that everyone who is able will do calling for Hillary in Oregon.

John Edwards, MAJOR Disappointment…NARAL/Obama Doesn’t Surprise Me, A Perfect Fit

Ah, what must Kate Michelman be thinking now, with visions of "rape gurney" Joe Liberman in her mind. Poor thing endorsed Edwards, now she gets Obama, Joe's friend....
